Hyaluronic Acid is Found in Synovial Joint Fluid Our joints.


The elbows knees and all other joints are surrounded by a membrane called the synovial membrane, which forms a capsule around the ends of the bones.  This membrane secretes a liquid called the synovial fluid.  Basically, the synovial fluid is found in joint cavities. It has many functions,serving as a lubricant, shock absorber & as a nutrient carrier.  The fluid protects the joints and bones.  Cartilage is immersed in the synovial fluid and is a fibrous connective tissue.


The fibroblast is the most common cell that creates Collagen.


Collagen makes up 95% of joint cartilage. The more collagen there is in the joints, the less chance is there for the development of osteoarthritis. A fibroblast is a type of cell that synthesizes the extracellular matrix and collage. Collagen is a protein made up of amino-acids: glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine.
